Effective October 14, 2026. These terms cover the Apocalypse Radar by Noland Android app from Noland Software LLC.
The short version
Apocalypse Radar is an information app. It collects public reports and shows an unofficial level. It is not an official emergency alert system. If you are in danger, follow local authorities and official alerts, and call 911 or your local emergency number.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Noland Software LLC, a Texas company. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Not an official alert system
The app does not replace the Emergency Alert System, Wireless Emergency Alerts, NOAA Weather Radio, or any government warning. Alerts can be late, missing, or wrong. Feeds can go down, your phone can be offline, and Android can delay background work. Do not rely on this app to keep you safe.
The level is our own index
The threat levels are an unofficial index made by the app from public data. They are not a DEFCON rating, and they are not issued or endorsed by any government agency or military.
Data from others
Headlines and data come from public sources such as USGS, NASA/JPL, NOAA, NWS, WHO, CDC, GDELT, FEMA, CISA, and the U.S. Department of State. We do not control those sources and are not responsible for their content. Links open their sites, which have their own terms.
Using the app
You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not try to break it, overload the data sources through it, or resell it.
No warranty
The app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Noland Software LLC is not liable for any damages that come from using or relying on the app, including missed or wrong alerts.
Privacy
How the app handles data is described in the privacy policy.
Changes
We may update the app or these terms. The latest terms are in the app and on this page. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
